Michael MacLean is a Montreal/Dawson artist and designer presently studying at Concordia University. Originally based in photography and sculpture his current work mixes contemporary and traditional technologies as well as methods. Born and raised in rural Quebec his work is influenced by the nature of the Canadian north. He is interested in how narratives of isolation, rural and urban, influence life, design and the arts.
